What is the Mentoring Connector?
The Mentoring Connector is a free service and the only database of its kind designed to help quality youth mentoring programs across the US recruit volunteer mentors. This database is managed by MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership (MENTOR), and leveraged by serve.gov, NBA Cares, the White House’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative site, CARES Mentoring and the Indiana Mentoring Partnership.
How Do You Submit Your Program?
Go to https://connect.mentoring.org/admin and complete the necessary application process.
All newly submitted program listings are reviewed using MENTOR’s Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring Programs ™ prior to activation in the database. The Elements are research- and experience-based guidelines for operating a safe, effective youth mentoring program. The review process for newly submitted programs takes approximately two weeks, and you will receive an email with the results of the review and further information.
